In their desire to provide well-rounded experiences for all who participate in their retreats, Dale and Jeanne partnered with Annie Anderson of The Energy Medicine Clinic, Medicine Hat, AB. in 2021 just in time for the Spring retreat. Annie is a dedicated and experienced healing practitioner, always seeking higher learning, understanding, and how best to serve. Sharing in the responsibilities of creating a retreat is the perfect outlet for her creative energy, ideas, and expertise! Together, Dale, Jeanne, and Annie ensure a balanced experience of inner and outer transformation for those who are ready to go within and make lasting change.
Dale and Jeanne Hoag
Dale and Jeanne’s journey to awakening began over three decades ago when fate brought them together in the heart of Saskatchewan. Their shared curiosity for the mysteries of life ignited a flame that would guide them through a labyrinth of spiritual exploration.
Their quest led them to seek wisdom from various sources – intuitives, psychics, mediums, and channels. They immersed themselves in the teachings of masters, devouring knowledge and honing their innate abilities. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, became their sanctuary, where they delved deeper into their practices, laying the foundation for what was to come.
Jeanne, with her vast teaching experience, blended her passion for education with the realm of spirituality. A Certified Reiki Master Teacher, she adorned her toolkit with Sound Therapy, HeartMath, EFT, and more. Her dedication birthed a self-taught mastery of meditation, a testament to the power of relentless pursuit.
Dale, a beacon of light in the realm of healing, amassed a formidable arsenal of modalities. From Reiki to ThetaHealing, Sound Therapy to Spiritual Dowser, his journey was a tapestry of learning and growth. Dale’s journey mirrored Jeanne’s intertwined yet uniquely his own. Each certification, each course, a stepping stone towards mastery. And still, he remained open to new avenues, recently embracing the Emotion Code to expand his repertoire.
Together, Dale and Jeanne embodied the synergy of their shared path. Theirs was a journey of trust, of surrendering to the guidance of the unseen forces that shaped their destiny. From the prairies of Saskatchewan to the foothills of Alberta, they traversed the landscape of the soul, illuminating the path for those who sought healing and enlightenment. In Dale and Jeanne’s journey, one finds the essence of true awakening – a testament to the transformative power of trust, perseverance, and the unwavering belief in the unseen hand that guides us all.

Annie Anderson
Meet Annie, the heart and soul behind The Energy Medicine Clinic! Her journey, full of twists and turns, shows how challenges can lead to incredible transformations. Starting as a massage therapist with a love for Reiki, Annie’s search for deeper fulfillment took her into sales and adventure, until 9/11 sparked a desire to serve others more profoundly. Becoming a paramedic, she faced serious health issues, including life-saving surgery that left her part robot. Amidst the pandemic, she discovered EFT and Positive Psychology, reigniting her passion for holistic wellness.
Annie’s path wasn’t easy; she battled PTSD, bureaucracy, and medical skepticism. Yet, with support from fellow healers, she founded The Energy Medicine Clinic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, attracting clients globally. Through group sessions, private consultations, and retreats, she empowers others on their wellness journey.
Annie’s mission also includes innovative workplace wellness workshops and pursuing a PhD in Natural Medicine and Shamanic healing. Her golden retriever, Ruby, trained to Reiki Level 2, spreads healing vibes at the clinic on Furrridays.

The Emotion Code | The Body Code | Usui Reiki Levels 1 & 2 | The Belief Code
I have always been drawn to energy work, but it wasn’t until I attended one of Dale & Jeanne’s retreats in 2019 that I had a life changing experience with The Emotion Code. That led me on a journey of learning which changed my path in life. I am so thankful for that experience.

I have taken Usui Reiki Levels 1 & 2 with Dale and Jeanne and following that retreat in 2019 I went on to receive certification in The Emotion Code with Dr Bradley Nelson, founder of this modality then received certification in The Body Code. Dr. Nelson has now added The Belief Code and I am excited to take the training to include in my repertoire of healing techniques.
I am pleased to share these methods with you during the retreat! First, you will learn how to tap into the subconscious mind to answer questions about your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This is called “muscle testing”. It’s a noninvasive method designed to determine the potential underlying causes of ailments and discomfort — everything from nutritional needs to trapped emotions. This will prepare you to learn the Emotion Code! You will receive instructions and materials to guide you through the process of releasing trapped emotions that cause physical and emotional pain. You will learn how to identify and remove emotional baggage, leading to greater health, wealth and happiness! This is an actual hands-on experience that you will learn and take home to further explore and release your trapped emotions.
I was so impressed by my experience with the Emotion Code that I went on to receive certification with The Body Code. Whereas the Emotion Code works on emotional blockages, The Body Code™ is a patented, revolutionary energy balancing system, intended to help uncover root causes of discomfort, sickness, and suffering in body and spirit. The Body Code System App is a handy tool used to easily identify then release underlying energetic imbalances. As you use The Body Code, you may clear emotional baggage to feel happier and more at peace than ever before. Building on the foundational concepts taught in the Emotion Code® and the Body Code™, Dr. Bradley Nelson has created the Belief Code® which takes energy healing even further by removing negative belief systems in the subconscious mind! I am a firm believer in life-long learning so look forward to learning and adding the Belief Code to my healing repertoire!
After many years now of learning and sharing these energy healing modalities, I am still amazed and even surprised by how powerful energy healing truly is! I have witnessed how it has worked in my own life and the lives of many others. These retreats provide the perfect space for sharing what I have learned with others and watching their lives transform as mine did at that first retreat I attended so many years ago!
If you felt drawn to this website about the Transformational Retreats in Cypress Hills, SK and read my bio, then your soul is likely calling you to attend! Trust your instincts/intuition – I am thankful that I did! When I attended my first retreat, I didn’t have a clue what to expect, I only knew one other person other than Dale & Jeanne. I just knew I had to be there. It was one of the best gifts I have ever given myself. Just work on staying open to the experience and trust that it will be an experience you will never forget!

Usui Reiki Master | Certified Hypnotherapist | Spinal Flow Technique
I was born and raised in Medicine Hat, AB. Despite early challenges, music was my refuge, and later, I discovered healing through practices like HeartMath, the Emotion Code, and Reiki. My name is Jamie Hammel. I was born and raised in Medicine Hat, AB. My journey began amidst the vibrant backdrop of the 1960s and 70s, a time of peace and love, yet it was also marked by inner turmoil and a sense of being different from others.
Despite the outward harmony of the era, I often felt isolated, grappling with an unexplainable knowing and a vivid imagination that set me apart from others. Music became my refuge, expressing the depths of my emotions through songwriting and guitar melodies.
High school brought a pivotal moment of realization, as I confronted a hurtful friend and discovered an unexpected power within, a strength that commanded respect and dispelled fear.
Life unfolded, and I found love, yet the path was not without its challenges. Through the trials of marriage and the demands of parenthood, I lost touch with my true self, and with the weight of it all, led to a breaking point and a journey to the mental health ward.
In that dark space, a glimmer of hope emerged in the form of Jeanne and Dale Hoag; guiding lights who introduced me to the transformative practices of HeartMath, the Emotion Code, and Reiki. Through their teachings, I learned to embrace my intuitive and empathic gifts, finding healing and purpose in helping others.
With newfound confidence, I embarked on a path of learning and growth; becoming a Reiki Master and expanding my skills to include hypnotherapy and past life regression. Each new modality deepened my connection to healing and opened doors to new levels of awareness and understanding.
Now, my practice, “Reiki Radiance Energy Empowerment,” stands as a beacon of light, offering healing and guidance to those seeking solace and transformation. With each session, I tap into my intuitive wisdom, infused with Reiki energy and guided by divine insight, to facilitate profound healing and release.
I continue to evolve on my journey, eagerly embracing new modalities like the Spinal Flow Technique, eager to explore new avenues of healing and growth. And so, my story unfolds, a testament to the power of transformation and the boundless potential within each of us to heal, grow, and shine.

Intuitive | Empath | Heart-Centered Reiki Master
Born from a line of healers and psychics, I initially sought normalcy in religion, only to rediscover my healing roots 20 years later. Enrolling spontaneously in Usui Reiki Levels 1 & 2 changed my life, and a year later, I completed the Reiki Master course. It is my heart’s desire to co-facilitate with Source, helping others find their power and magic within themselves.

What participants are saying…
“…the weekend retreat was the right thing for me at the right time. It was an oasis. It was wonderful to be with so many wonderful people… Being connected with people through the retreat helped me so very much… I have to admit I felt like I was at a spiritual bootcamp! But it was a humorous and affectionate feeling. I enjoyed all of the presenters and look forward to seeing them again.”
– S. K. K.
“I spent a weekend at Cypress Hills at a wellness retreat recently. It was not a relaxation retreat, but a healing one. It was intense, empowering, emotional. I met amazing people, experienced incredible inner breakthroughs, and made friends with a tree… Connecting to nature, to Mother Earth, making it personal, was profound for me. We are all connected, to each other, to nature, and all that resides within it… Go out into nature, make friends with it, and you’ll have strength, beauty and wonder in your life, for life.”

Is this retreat for me?
Are you someone who is feeling overwhelmed or near burnout? Are you looking for somewhere to just unwind from the hustle and bustle of daily life? Does connecting with like-minds appeal to you? Do you yearn to find a place of peace within? Perhaps you are seeking a new direction or questioning your greater purpose? If you said ‘yes!’ to any of these questions, then this retreat is for you!
I’m still not sure if this retreat is for me – how do I decide?
We want you to feel confident and comfortable with your decision to attend our retreat. Please email [email protected] text or call 403-504-9690 if you prefer to chat. Jeanne is available to answer all your questions and to provide any additional information to help you make the decision that is right for you.
How long do I have to make a decision?
The deadline for all registrations for the fall retreat is September 17, 2024
Can I bring my spouse/partner/kids?
Sharing your retreat experience with a significant other is very special so we encourage couples to attend, share the experience with your older son or daughter, or bring your best friend. However, remember this experience is about reconnecting with you so consider putting yourself first and attending to your needs before inviting someone to join you. Should you have a certain special someone you wish to share your accommodations with, please make sure you indicate their name in the “Special Request” section of the registration form.
Can I bring my spouse/partner/kids to stay at my cabin while I attend the retreat?
We do not recommend this as it can distract you from your purpose for attending. It also means an additional cost for you as the accommodations are meant to be shared with another retreat participant.
Can I bring my pet?
We do not recommend bringing pets unless it is a designated service dog. The resort charges an additional fee for having pets in designated “pet friendly” units and are very strict with their policy on leaving pets unattended. Other than a designated service dog, pets are not allowed at the retreat space. If you require allowance for a designated service animal, please indicate that in the “Special Request” section of the registration form.
What are the dates again?
We hold two retreats each year. The spring retreat is held the last weekend in April and the fall retreat is the second last weekend in October. This retreat is being held October 18, 19 and 20, 2024
What time can I arrive?
Registration is from 2:00 – 3:00pm on Friday.
What time does the retreat end?
The retreat ends at around 4:00pm Sunday
Can I come late or leave early if the times don’t exactly work for me?
Yes. Just please be aware you will miss out on some of the activities. We cannot reimburse you for any missed time.
I have dietary restrictions – can you accommodate my needs?
Yes! Our caterer, Jordyn can accommodate any dietary needs. Please make sure you include that information in the “Special Request” section of the registration form.
What is the weather like?
The Cypress Hills Interprovinical Park is the same elevation as the town of Banff so you can expect cooler temperatures both in the spring and fall. In the spring, there is often snow still found amongst the trees; in the fall, we can expect an early snowfall; however, we have only experienced excessive amounts once! An up-to-date weather forecast will be provided one week prior to the retreat.
What do I bring?
General suggestions include a warm jacket, boots, gloves, hat or toque, a sweater or shawl and indoor shoes or slippers for wearing in the hall, a journal, a gift for Mother Earth during the Forest Bathing activity (ex: crystal, stone, sage, tobacco), a drum or rattle, yoga mat, blanket and pillow for activities requiring laying on the floor. A detailed list of what to pack will be provided in an email sent two weeks prior to the retreat.
What is included in the cost?
Please see the section on what is included and what is not for full details.
Have a question that hasn't been answered?
Email [email protected] text or call 403-504-9690. She is happy to answer any of your questions!

Where do I register when I get into the park?
You come directly to the Community Hall located beside the tourism building and down the street from the swimming pool (directions are provided in the email sent out prior to the retreat).
How do I find my cabin?
After you register at the Community Hall, you will go to the registration desk in the main building at The Resort at Cypress Hills. They will have your name on their list of guests along with your cabin partner. You will receive your key card for your cabin and directions on how to get there. If you have any problems, contact the resort office.
Who will be my cabin partner?
This will be our 11th retreat and we have never had a complaint from any of our participants regarding a poor match! We pride ourselves in using our intuitive abilities to create the best match possible – in fact, many lasting friendships have been created during our retreats.
What is included with the accommodations?
Each cabin has a living/dining/kitchen area with a regular sized refrigerator, stove and microwave, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, dish cloths and towels. If you like to have a morning coffee or tea, you must bring your own (along with cream and sugar) or if you need an evening snack please bring your own as food items are not included. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, towels and facecloths, sample bottles of shampoo, body wash and lotion. Please bring your own hair dryer. The two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, a dresser, nightstand, alarm clock and clothes rack.
What if I don’t want to share with anyone?
The cost of the retreat is based on shared accommodation in a two-bedroom cabin or townhouse. For an additional cost you can request a room in the resort. These are typical hotel rooms with queen or king beds. Be sure to choose your desired accomodation preference in the registration process.
I am a local (live in Maple Creek or have a cabin in the park). Can I participate in the retreat without staying at The Resort at Cypress Hills? Will I be charged the same price?
Yes, as long as you keep to the retreat schedule. However, please keep in mind the retreat experience goes beyond the schedule for the day. Remember, you are gifting yourself this time for YOU. Often when we return after a day of transformative experiences, we need time to relax and process. If you are returning to family obligations, you may not have this opportunity and therefore will not achieve the benefits you seek. If you choose not to stay at The Resort, we are happy to refund you the base cost of a two night stay in a two-bedroom cabin.
Can I stay a day longer for some additional down time or can I come a day early just to enjoy the park?
Yes! What better way to process the weekend experience than an extra day surrounded by nature or enjoy an extra day to prepare for the retreat! These arrangements must be made by you by contacting The Resort in Cypress Hills to book the extra night(s).
How do I get to the park?
Detailed directions will be emailed to you one week prior to the retreat date. The most important thing to remember is that the retreat is held at the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park on the Saskatchewan side of the Cypress Hills (if you are using Google Maps make sure you use this address). The Cypress Hills borders Alberta (in the southeast corner) and Saskatchewan (in the southwest corner) so please make sure you come to the Saskatchewan side, not the Alberta side!
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes! A non-refundable deposit is required for all registrations to reserve your spot. We offer a five-payment plan option. Your non-refundable deposit is your first payment with a payment required to bring your balance to zero one month prior to the retreat date. When you complete the registration process you will be given the option of the five-payment plan.
What if I get sick or something comes up last minute?
This is an all-inclusive retreat meaning meals and accommodations are confirmed in advance with a list of those attending therefore we cannot offer refunds. That said, we understand that life happens and in severe, extenuating circumstances where you cannot attend, we will do our best to help you find someone to fill your spot. Please see our cancellation policy.
What is your cancellation policy?
A $333.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration which is applied to your total payment. Any cancellation made between the time of registration and September 17, 2024 will result in a loss of 50% of the retreat price (early-bird and regular cost). Installments paid (minus the $333 non-refundable deposit) are 50% refundable until September 17, 2024.
If, for any reason, you need to cancel after September 17, 2024, there is no refund however, if a written request is submitted within 14 days of the retreat date (September 12, 2024) we are happy to reschedule your retreat experience (within 2 years of the retreat date) applying the amount paid (less the $333 non-refundable deposit) to the cost of the chosen retreat date (retreat cost subject to change).
We also do not provide refunds or credits for failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early.
We reserve the right to cancel retreats with inadequate participant interest, in which case all money paid to Divine Guidance Empowering You, including your deposit, will be refunded in full. Notification of cancellation for this reason will occur at least 2 weeks prior to retreat start date. Divine Guidance Empowering You or The Energy Medicine Clinic cannot be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as transportation costs, due to retreat cancellations.
